Sad to have missed this, but echoing all of the thanks and gratitude to @AnUncivilPhD. This was an invigorating and inspiring conference, and your work (and all of the organizers and participants’ work!) is so appreciated. Can’t wait for what comes next! #CSS18 https://t.co/uAQoVrHVOp

Now that Mind the Gaps/#CSS18 is done and such a great success, we hope that all you energized and inspired comics scholars are ready to send us some great abstracts when the CFP for #ICAF2019 comes out in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

I am tired and physically exhausted. I am stressed about the first week of classes next week. And I have a long drive ahead of me tomorrow. But I am still deeply and legitimately sad that #CSS18 has come to an end.

After a heady and inspiring three days of #CSS18 , I conclude my time in Illinois in my hotel room editing a lecture I'm giving at the Meadows Museum Monday morning while listening to the Dark Knight soundtrack *very* loudly with earbuds to drown out the party next door. @cssorg

I'll certainly still be on here, but I always need to chill out a little after livetweeting. So I'll respond, retweet, and you may see some app posts, but I'll be far quieter otherwise until #GraphicMedicine18.
Stay in touch #CSS18 folks! pic.twitter.com/CPq7GWU8lz

Now it's time to try to condense the past few days at #CSS18 before heading to Vermont on Wednesday for #GraphicMedicine18. One great group of comics scholars to another - both groups with enormously wide approaches.

Ya'll #CSS18 was amazing. Folks doing amazing research and hearing about it is great, but finding folks you know in online spaces in real life and building a better relationship? That's priceless. And that's what this conference was about.

Tiny plea that in the future the @cssorg has at least one board member that is contingent faculty or occupies an alt-ac position, it seems that lots of comic studies folks will be moving in that direction regardless. It would be nice to have a very visible model #css18

So glad to be a part of Paul's sketchbook (go check the other pages, they're amazing!) and that we shared that panel with @BenoitCrucifix. Very diverse horizons of semiotics united. These last couple of days really were inspiring. #CSS18 https://t.co/KmW7LfsAa4

Thanks to all the #comicsstudies folks who tweeted the sessions I had to miss the afternoon - and endless gratitude to @AnUncivilPhD and @s_langsdale without whom I wouldn't have had the amazing experience that was #CSS18 Now, to cross the Atlantic...

I’m still processing all my #CSS18 thoughts but I’m super glad I came and was able to spread a bit of the good library world. I feel inspired to consider proposing something totally different next year, actual contents TBD.

Just throwing this open invitation out to any #CSS18 folks in town tonight: I'm hanging out for awhile at Legends (Greene between 5th and 6th) if you want to come eat, drink, and decompress!

And so #CSS18 comes to an end. It was a truly wonderful inaugural conference - collegial in the best way possible with lots of great papers and conversations throughout. Thanks so much to @AnUncivilPhD for all the hard organizational work. @cssorg
