Courtois won goalkeeper of the year, but didn't make the World XI.

De Gea now: pic.twitter.com/acfRcm8GPa
2.
So, De Gea is in the Team of The Year, but Courtois won Goalkeeper of The Year...
— 🔴 (@Twenty20Times) September 25, 2018
Explain to me how that works, please.#TheBest #FIFAFootballAwards #MUFC

@fifa your #TheBestFifaAwards awards are irrelevant when Ronaldo’s or Bale’s goals lose to an average Goal for Puskas Award. Salah ranked 3rd in the world player rankings but not in the world xi? Courtouis named best keeper in the world but De Gea is in the world xi? #CR7BalonDor

4.
How come Salah’s goal won the Puskas? Didn’t see Bale’s or Messi’s goal though?
— meer (@zameerz_) September 25, 2018
How come Salah made the top 3 list but didn’t make it to the FifPro?
Curtois won ahead of MATS & De Gea?

What doesn't make sense: Salah makes FIFA’s top three players but not #World11. Courtois wins Goalkeeper of the Year, but De Gea makes #World11 🤔🤔🤔 #FIFAFootballAwards

David De Gea wasn't nominated for The Best Goalkeeper award, but made the FIFPro World11.

Mo Salah was nominated for The Best Men's Player award, but didn't make the FIFPro World11.

So Salah is in the top 3 players in the World this year but not in the team...Courtois wins best Goalie but De Gea gets in the team of the season ahead of him.

and do not even get me started on Courtois. Most overrated goalkeeper in the game. Oblak, MATS and De Gea far superior last season, and overall in general. But then again, this is a category that saw Kasper f*cking Schmeichel nominated for saving three penalties at the WC.
