If you missed my conversation with @Brewers pitcher Corey Knebel during #Brewers Extra Innings on @620wtmj, you can listen to the archive here: https://t.co/LN8fGKdvqM#ThisIsMyCrew

Everything you know about Corey Knebel is wrong.

Brewers gut out 6-4 win over Cards; within 1.5 of Cubs; Knebel notches 16th save https://t.co/tEFg9vmlcG

Today wasn’t ideal but their bullpen is worn down so Hader and Knebel probably aren’t available tomorrow. Plus that’s still 6 wins in the past 8 games.

Corey knebel did a great job getting the save tonight

I would tend to agree with you if it was say the 4th pitch of the AB but IMO Barksdale should recognize the situation. How both Knebel and Martinez were battling and not call a strike unless it’s blatantly obvious. Let Pitcher and Hitter settle it.

Situation was very odd. Had heard he was in the bullpen then left. Heard he wasn’t out there at all. BA said all the NL central teams have lost their closer as he was talking about Knebel warming up and Jeffress was nowhere to be found.

One positive of tonight, Jose’s at bat lasted so long that Knebel probably won’t be available tomorrow #STLCards

Just win this series. Move on to the next one. Win that one. It'll be hard to backend a series against the Crew, but they're bullpen has gotta be gassed (Hader particularly) so that's working in our favor. Knebel threw a solid amount of pitches too.#STLCards

Knebel has been out of this world since returning to the team. In September, 12.1 innings, he hasn't just been perfect, he's been racking up an absurd amount of strikeouts, 25 in all.
— Bill Canzoneri (@billcanzoneri) September 25, 2018
Only 2 walks and 2 hits!

YES!!! I didn't think the bullpen stunt was going to work.
— ObiShawn (@TheOnlyShawn102) September 25, 2018
Carpenter tries and gets away with a fast one as he wasn't man enough to face Knebel but the Crew did a great job of winning this one. A bit nervous to find out what's up with JJ though!

Cory Knebel's back!!! Huge win for the Brew Crew against the Cardinals. Christian Yelich looked like an MVP once again. The Cubs lose so the Brewers are only 1 1/2 games back in the NL Central. Love September baseball. #ThisIsMyCrew #YelichForMVP #GoBrewCrew #HuntingforOctober

Jesus that last faceoff between Knebel and Martinez felt like forever but Brewers got the W! Can't stop now, gotta win the next few #BrewCrew
