No he won’t. McConnell is not going to call for an FBI investigation. Flake knows this. The only way you insist on an FBI investigation is to not vote Kavanaugh out of committee, but that’s not what he did. This is just a face-saving move and the media is as expected lauding him.

Bait and switch... what he says in public, will be the opposite of what he tells Flake and McConnell...just watch.

He doesn’t have the power to delay the vote and he knows McConnell won’t delay the vote. This is his usual squishy attempt at having it both ways.

If #McConnell & Senate #GOP allow a week long FBI probe could we get a two-fer & let them investigate #Trump sex charges too? https://t.co/i4wnLhPy08

Unfortunately, "supporting" the delay and pledging to vote no or withhold vote until the investigation happen are 2 different things. For all we know, weasel McConnell will not ask for investigation, hold floor vote, and they'll both vote Yes, and then act disappointed.

6.
Remember, McConnell is not obligated and he already stated he had the votes.

So are they playing political theater?
Reminds me of a Roadrunner Coyote cartoon.
Dems keep using Acme dynamite that explodes in their face, Super genius they are
Declaring themselves wise became Fools

McConnell hasn't promised anything.

4) ❗️SENATE JUDICIARY CMTE. KAVANAUGH VOTE cont.
— ❌L-F-R 🔔 (@jaeare53) September 28, 2018
In reviewing the CMTE. video again, it was Sen. Leahy who wanted to incl. any new allegations be investigated by the FBI.
Flake was clear, the "current allegations".
So we'll have to see what McConnell & FBI say about this.
9.
Does anyone know if Mitch McConnell as the Senate majority leader have the authority to hold the senators from leaving for their break until after a vote is taken?

and where is Susan Collins??? (Waiting for McConnell to tell her what to do.)

The committee vote is a formality. McConnell doesn't need that vote to bring it to the floor. Given the fact that Collins and Murkowski both agreed to wait for FBI investigation shows Flake was being honest about his intentions.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is meeting with Republicans senators in his office to discuss the next steps on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. https://t.co/o0bwcm5KAn

McConnell wouldn't call a vote if he knew he didn't have them.

Except I am not taking this as not having the votes on the floor. If McConnell schedules a vote for tomorrow there is no reason to expect these people won't vote yes.
